Manifattura persiana - Late XIX century - Candleholder...

Rare and fascinating pair of antique candlesticks made in Persia (modern-day Iran) during the late 19th century, in the midst of the Qajar period. These precious artifacts stand out for the extraordinary richness of raised and chased work, a stylistic hallmark of Persian craftsmanship of the era. The surface of the candlesticks is entirely decorated with figurative details, processions of figures and geometric and floral motifs finely incised, covering the flared base, the shaped stem, and the distinctive upper cup. The patina of time and the natural wear of silver plating confer an authentic, lived-in charm to this piece, highlighting the reliefs and the depth of the incised details. A very elegant collectible object, ideal for lovers of Islamic art, Middle Eastern antiquities, or to enhance a high-end interior. The photos are an integral part of the description.
