Bracelet 1.2 x 0.5 cm Wrist circumference 16 cm Clasp 1.7 x 1 cm without the hook. This set is made of natural malachite beads cut into rectangular beads, in a palette of deep greens. They are traversed by the characteristic darker concentric bands that are the signature of this stone. The multiple facets catch the light and bring out the velvety luster inherent to malachite. As the quintessential transformation stone, malachite is traditionally associated with protection and the release of emotional blockages. It is believed to have the power to absorb negative energies and to encourage bold decision-making, like a verdant shield against undesirable influences. The most renowned historic deposits are in the Democratic Republic of Congo, where this stone was used in ancient Egypt, ground into pigment to adorn the pharaohs’ eyelids and ward off the evil eye. 1.
