Makayhos - [Canvas] Flame Dragon – Brick Ember

The artwork depicts the majestic and imposing figure of an orange dragon entirely built from bricks, captured in a proud, statuesque pose with wings spread and a fiery tail. The silhouette emerges with a striking physical and three‑dimensional presence from the stone-like material of the background, creating a fascinating plastic contrast between the geometry of the individual compositional elements and the finely stratified marble surface. The precious gold veining that crosses the white marble stone and the carved frame represent an explicit nod to the ancient art of Kintsugi, highlighting the value of cracks to symbolize the reassembly of childhood memories, the strength of fire and the elevation of fractures through the fusion of fragments. It should be noted that the work is not a real marble bas-relief or a three‑dimensional physical sculpture, but the visual effect of a 2D canvas studied to offer an optical illusion of exceptional depth and tactile relief. A collectible conceptual artwork, where the imagination of toy bricks and pop culture meets the discipline of classical sculpture and the philosophy of imperfection.
