Magnificent turban snail (Turbo marmoratus) polished |...

A Sparkling Jewel of the Seas: The Polished Green Turban Snail Expand your collection with an absolute highlight of marine aesthetics. This beautiful Turbo marmoratus has been professionally stripped of its rough limestone crust in an elaborate process and deep-polished. The result is a breathtaking display piece that is almost entirely made of pure, intensely iridescent nacre. With a stately diameter of 10 cm, this heavy shell has grand presence and light reflections. Your highlights at a glance: - Species: Turbo marmoratus (Green Turban / Green Turban Snail) - Size: Diameter approx. 10 cm (heavy, substantial specimen) - Processing: Professionally ground and high-gloss polished - Appearance: Shimmering nacre with fascinating plays of light in silver, cream, and delicate green tones - Origin: Tropical Indo-Pacific Background & Collector Value: The Turbo marmoratus is the largest of all turban snails and inhabits the turbulent coral reefs of the Indo-Pacific. Because of its extremely thick and high-quality nacre layer, it has been coveted for centuries worldwide—historically for intricate inlay work (intarsia), today as one of the most prestigious objects in conchology. In this specimen, the polish was executed so masterfully that the powerful, spiral architecture of the whorls remains perfectly preserved while the surface shines like liquid silver. unpolished / various Turbo marmoratus polished
