Maestri Vetrai di Murano - Jar (2) - Monofiore Vase - Model 'Iris'

An Opera Poetic between Sculpture and Nature, Set in Glass Let yourself be enchanted by an extraordinary piece that fuses the delicacy of nature with the majestic artisanal know-how of Venice. This is not a simple vase: it is a true modular sculpture in Murano glass, designed to capture light and transform any environment into a private art gallery. The set consists of two perfectly balanced elements: - The Base Vase: A slender column of glass starting from an intense cyclamen pink at the goblet base, subtly transitioning to an opalescent sage green with a worked collar. - The Stem Flower: A hand-sculpted floral sculpture with twisted petals in pink and violet graduated glass, complete with a transparent stem that fits perfectly into the base vase. Made around the late 1980s on the island of Murano (Venice), this piece embodies the hot-work and free-hand glass paste shaping techniques. The Murano school is renowned worldwide and has been awarded over the centuries in the most prestigious international contexts (from the Venice Biennale to the Gold Compass awards and MoMA exhibitions in New York) for the unrivaled ability to shape molten crystal. Every curve of the petals and every shade of color attest to the skill of a master glassmaker, making the object a unique piece: no two flowers are identical, as each fold is created in the exact instant the molten glass begins to solidify. In a world dominated by mass production, owning a Murano artisanal work means bringing home a fragment of history, charm, and timeless elegance. Placed on a sideboard, an entryway console, or inside a lit display cabinet, this glass flower will never fade and will instantly captivate every guest.
