Dial: White enamel dial with black Roman numerals (I to XII) and red Arabic 24-hour markings (13 to 24). Text: "Anti Magnetic" below the center. Case: Metal/steel with a remontoir winding crown and crown at the top. Dating: This type of pocket watch typically dates from the early 20th century (around 1900–1920). 1. The back of the case (Exterior) • Symbolism: The engraving shows a detailed depiction of William Tell and his son beside a stone wall, with the Swiss Alps and a lake in the background. This emphasizes the proud Swiss origin of the watch. . Inscriptions: The center reads "1906." This refers to the year when the brand Louis Roskopf & Cie was officially registered in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland. . Quality claims: Phrases such as "Qualite Superieure" (Superior Quality) and "Veritable Louis Roskopf" (Genuine Louis Roskopf) were deliberately made large to distinguish the watch from the many cheap imitations that were on the market at the time. 2. The authenticity certificate (Inside dust cover) The paper insert in the lid is a fantastic historical detail. It served as a warranty and warning: • It reads (in French): "One recognises true quality by the mark placed below on every watch.
