Louis Roederer is a champagne house, actually "Champagne Louis Roederer" that is based in Reims. The house is one of the oldest among the champagne houses and was founded in 1776 as Dubois Pére & Fils. In 1833 Louis Roederer inherited the company and named the company after himself. This cooler features a recessed rectangular plaque with the inscription: "Louis Roederer Champagne Reims France", and also features beautifully worked handles in the shape of grape clusters. A heavy professional-quality cooler. Fully cleaned, but with patina, character and charm preserved! The bottom bears a stamp placed by the maker: "ARGIT made in France". ARGIT is an authority in champagne coolers and supplies almost all the major houses.
