Louis Cottier Quadra Automático - No reserve price - HB3630C1BC1 - Men - 2019

A name with a history in high-end watchmaking This piece bears the name Louis Cottier (1890-1966), the Geneva watchmaker who invented the World Time system in 1931. It was such a revolutionary mechanism that Patek Philippe quickly commissioned it, and at that time Patek used a design by Louis Cottier, an independent watchmaker. The history of the Patek Philippe World Time goes back to the 1930s to this esteemed inventor named Louis Cottier. The current Louis Cottier brand pays homage to that legacy. This particular watch: It is not a vintage Patek Philippe; it is a contemporary creation of the Louis Cottier brand inspired by that tradition: an automatic skeleton Quadra. Reference: HB3630C1BC1 - Montre "QUADRA" bracelet cuir (visible on your warranty card) • Movement: Automatic, 20 Jewels, visible through the skeleton dial • Complications: Date, day of the week, month and 24h in 4 subdials + tachymeter on the bezel • Case: Steel, ∼42mm, crown signed with Maltese cross • Crystal: Mineral with light micro-scratches from use (see macro) • Strap: Original Louis Cottier black leather with signed buckle, showing signs of use and patina from time • Set: Original black Louis Cottier box + Garantie Card Condition: Runs and winds correctly. It has not undergone a recent service. It is sold as seen in the photos, as a collectible/watch fashion piece with a skeletonized aesthetic and a historic wink. Ideal for someone looking for a striking automatic with a story to tell on the wrist: the name of the man who allowed Patek Philippe to display world time all at once.
