Lot of 4 artisan Greek vases – Rhodes – mythological decorations – 20th century Decorative set of four Greek ceramics, inspired by the forms and artistic traditions of ancient Greece. These pieces feature remarkable decorations of mythological figures, geometric motifs and black figures, in tones of black, ivory, ochre, blue and turquoise. The lot includes : - Large polychrome vase – about 20 cm: decoration depicting a female figure in a composition with turquoise, blue and ochre colors. Two small side handles. - Volute amphora – about 20 cm: elegant spiral handles, Greek frieze and a figure from antiquity. - Small amphora – about 12 cm: two volute handles, decoration of a figure and traditional geometric motifs. - Small jug – about 8 cm: pouring lip, side handle and black figurative decoration on a light background. Origin and manufacturing Handcrafted in a Greek style, probably from the second half of the 20th century. Several marks and inscriptions are visible under the pieces, including a mark referring to Rhodes (Greece). The ceramics appear to have been hand-decorated, in the tradition of reproductions of ancient art. Condition Set showing signs of use and some surface wear and paint loss, visible in the photographs. The photographs are an integral part of the description and allow appreciation of the details, the decorations and the condition of each piece. A harmonious and decorative set, ideal for lovers of Greek ceramics, Mediterranean art and objects inspired by Antiquity. The four pieces are offered together, forming a particularly aesthetic collection lot.
