Loro Piana Horsey 1992 Barcelona Olympics – Limited Edition Vintage Jacket – M An exceptional vintage Loro Piana Horsey jacket with a remarkable history. Originally created for the Italian show jumping team at the 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games, the Horsey was developed under Sergio Loro Piana and became the house’s first iconic outerwear design, marking the beginning of its celebrated luxury sportswear collection. Initially intended for only a few dozen athletes, the jacket proved so popular that Loro Piana subsequently introduced it commercially. This example belongs to the limited reproduction series, as confirmed by its original label featuring the Olympic rings, the year 1992 and the approval of the Italian Equestrian Sports Federation (F.I.S.E.). Beautifully crafted in an elegant ivory/off-white colour, featuring raglan sleeves, a high stand collar with embroidered Loro Piana crest, branded buttons, two-way metal zipper, large utility pockets and adjustable drawstring waist. Size M Measurements: * Pit to pit: 57 cm * Length: 79 cm * Raglan sleeve: 72 cm * Inner sleeve: 39 cm Excellent vintage condition, beautifully preserved. Only one tiny mark near a button, likely removable with gentle cleaning. A rare piece of early Loro Piana heritage, representing the origins of one of the house’s most iconic designs. The Horsey remains part of Loro Piana’s collection to this day. A distinctive collector’s piece combining Olympic history, Italian craftsmanship and timeless luxury sportswear.
