LORIN - Identity pending

Original painting by LORIN, part of an ongoing research into the human figure that emerges from tactile surfaces and color. Lorin's research focuses on the female figure as an emotional and symbolic space, where presence, identity and perception converge. "Identity Pending" originates from the idea that identity is not something completely defined once and for all, but a construction that keeps changing over the course of life. Pending is a word that normally indicates something still awaiting completion or confirmation; when paired with identity it suggests instead an open condition, in which not having all the answers yet does not necessarily mean being incomplete. In the painting the face disappears behind a book, precisely the element through which we enter into the lives, thoughts and identities of others. The figure thus remains anonymous while reading, suspended on the threshold between interior and exterior, as if still free to become many different people. - Authenticity: Each piece is an original, accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist. - Condition: The work is professionally mounted on a wooden frame and is ready to hang, with no need for further interventions or processing. - Protection: Careful packaging with professional materials to ensure maximum protection during transport. - Shipping: Fast shipping. For shipments outside the European Union, delivery times may vary according to local customs procedures. Some images may show the work placed in illustrative settings, to facilitate viewing in different contexts or with different framing options. The proportions are consistent with the actual dimensions of the work.
