Please see the photos, which are part of the description Founded around 1836 in Klostermühle, Bohemia (now the Czech Republic), Johann Loetz Witwe stands as one of the most celebrated and innovative glass manufacturers of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. As a pioneering force in the decorative arts, it was among the first to fully embrace the Art Nouveau movement, achieving legendary status for its iridescent techniques and organic forms. Loetz captured international acclaim at the turn of the century, securing top honours and Grand Prix awards at major world exhibitions—most notably the prestigious 1900 Paris Exposition Universelle. Central to the company's enduring legacy was its collaboration with elite avant-garde artists and architects of the Wiener Werkstätte and Vienna Secession - luminaries such as Koloman Moser, Josef Hoffmann, Franz Hofstötter, Marie Kirschner, and Michael Powolny - fusing cutting-edge design with virtuoso craftsmanship. Today, these collaborations define the unique artistic identity that cements Loetz as a premier name in historic art glass..
