Liz Bachhuber (1953) - Waterfowl

Original ink drawing titled "Waterfowl" (1992) by the prominent American-German contemporary artist and Professor Emerita Liz Bachhuber (b. 1953). This exquisite work perfectly represents Bachhuber’s highly collectible early-1990s series. It features a masterful juxtaposition of bold, deep black avian silhouettes interacting with fluid, sweeping waves of meticulously penned micrographic handwritten text. Signature & Authenticity: Explicitly hand-signed, titled, and dated in ink by the artist in the lower-left corner: "Waterfowl" Liz Bachhuber '92. Provenance & Market Reference: Works from this exact 1992 avian and wildlife ink series were featured in contemporary art auctions (such as the "Figuration to Abstraction" selection), establishing a strong secondary market pedigree for this specific period of her career. Condition Report: The artwork sheet itself is in pristine condition, with sharp ink contrast and zero foxing or discoloration. The piece is housed in a professional white-washed wooden gallery frame under glass, sealed at the reverse with a gallery label from renz. The frame remains entirely structurally sound but exhibits minor, authentic cosmetic signs of age, handling, and light scuffing along the outer edges and corner joins. About the Artist: Liz Bachhuber completed her advanced fine arts degree as a Meisterschülerin at the renowned Kunstakademie Düsseldorf before becoming a long-standing Professor of Fine Art (Freie Kunst) at the prestigious Bauhaus-Universität Weimar. Her installations, sculptures, and drawings are held in numerous public institutions, museum archives, and prominent European collections. The item will be securely packed in professional art-shipping materials and sent with full tracking and insurance.
