Lip - Statue

Extraordinary and rare hand-carved Murano glass sculpture produced in solid form, depicting a stylized snail, designed by the famous Venetian master Marcello Furlan for the LIP (Vetri per Arredare) manufactory in 1990. The work is a magnificent example of avant-garde artistic modernity. It stands out for an extremely sinuous and dynamic line that projects the animal's body upward. From a chromatic point of view, the piece plays on strong and refined contrasts: the snail's foot and long neck are made in transparent amber/orange solid glass, topped by two characteristic heat-applied antennas in electric blue glass. The large shell is separately formed by heat into a massive block of emerald-green glass, creating exceptional depth and light refraction.
