Antique German clothes wringer of folk art, authentic, not a reproduction. It’s from the late 1800s, a rare object, particular for lovers of hard-to-find items. There was once Monday laundry day… The scent of Marseille soap wafted through the air, mingling with the fragrance of clothes drying in the sun. In one corner of the room, large and tireless, stood this great manual clothes wringer, a witness to a time when laundry was a shared, almost ceremonial ritual. Made of solid wood and heavy metal, it is a substantial object in both size and presence, and it still turns with surprising smoothness. An object perfect for those who love the authentic charm of the past: ideal as a decorative element in a vintage laundry, a creative workshop, or in a mountain or country home. Overall footprint 47 x 37 x 8 cm, very heavy. Perfect condition, rare to find it intact in this exceptional state.
