Ligne Maginot T1 + dédicace - C - 1 Album - First edition - 2023

Original Edition Maginot Line Book 1 The Battle of the Alps with double dedication by the screenwriter Yvon Bertorello and Aurélien Bedeneau (with red varnish) Theme: War - World War II Writer(s) (script): Éric Stoffel Serge Scotto Yvon Bertorello Artwork: Aurélien Bédéneau Colors: Bruno Pradelle Publisher: Plein Vent Format: Large format EAN/ISBN: 9782492547973 Summary: Maginot, a name historically and unjustly associated with the defeat of June 1940! And yet, during the Battle of the Alps, the Maginot Line never yielded, the sole French victory against the invading enemy. Today, three youths from the Nice region dive back into the past to unravel a mysterious family destiny under the Occupation. A captivating cross-cutting narrative, revisiting—from World War II to the present day—this moment when the crews of the ouvrages distinguished themselves in a Dantean clash with Mussolini's troops. The French soldiers did indeed uphold their motto: “They shall not pass!” First volume of a richly documented series tracing the history of the entire Maginot Line, along its full length.
