Tutte le aste / Arte, Pittura e Arti Grafiche / Le Yack (1972) - last drink - Hand signed
A bar in a luxury hotel, late at night. A woman in a black tuxedo and bow tie is alone at the counter, a glass of whisky in hand. In front of her, the mirror—and in the mirror, her reflection looks back at her. Not her: her reflection looks at her, with an intensity that the real profile doesn’t possess. The library green lamps cast their warm light on the lined bottles. An empty ashtray. Nothing else. Le Yack creates a tension between the woman and her mirror image, a tension that is the true subject of the painting. The reflection is more present, more frontal, more determined. Which is which? The black tuxedo borrowed from masculine tradition says something about emancipation—and the glass of whisky alone at the bar at this hour says something about the price she has paid. It is a painting about strength and its inseparable solitude. Le Yack, a French emerging pop and street art artist. Alexandre Pelletier, known as Le Yack, was born in 1972 in Tours. During his studies, he joined the École Supérieure d'Art et de Design (ESAD) of Orléans. He is an art director in publishing and on the web. Instagram @leyack45. Some of his works are reproduced in series on canvas-mounted boards, creating limited editions accessible to a broader audience. Other works are created as unique paintings on canvas, adding an exclusive and authentic dimension to his collection. Le Yack's style reflects a fusion between traditional art and the endless possibilities offered by digital technology. His innovative approach and deft use of digital resources allow him to create original works that captivate the eye and invite reflection.
