Le Creuset - Casserole dish - Cast iron

Beautiful and rare vintage André Cousances cast iron cocotte, part of the high-end range associated with Le Creuset. This distinctive French design features a rounded body, two open side handles and an unusual sculptural lid handle with contrasting black details. Its clean lines and minimalist appearance make it a particularly interesting piece for collectors of vintage French cookware. Made from heavy enamelled cast iron, the cocotte measures 20 cm in diameter and approximately 10 cm in height. Both the base and the underside of the lid carry the André Cousances monogram and the size marking 20. The cocotte is in good vintage condition overall. The light-coloured enamelled interior is well preserved, with some signs of previous use. The exterior and lid show minor scratches, marks and wear around the rims and handles, consistent with age. As with all my items, this is a genuine vintage piece, not a new product. Please examine all the photographs carefully, as they form part of the description and show its actual condition. A lovely and increasingly hard-to-find piece of French cookware, combining practical cast iron construction with a distinctive design. Perfect for cooking, display or adding to a collection of vintage Le Creuset and André Cousances pieces.
