Tutte le aste / Altro / Laveno, Richard Ginori , Mondovì - Table service (17) - Porcelain - Authentic

Vintage Ginori and Laveno tableware – 17 pieces – White porcelain with gilded profiles – First half of the 20th century Interesting collection of 17 pieces in Italian porcelain and ceramic from the era, including items attributable to the historic Ginori and Laveno productions, testimonies of one of the most important periods in Italian ceramic manufacturing in the 20th century. The lot brings together pieces from different productions, united by the elegance of white, delicate gilded borders, and classic shapes, characterized by slightly curved edges and harmonious lines. Particularly interesting are some Ginori white pieces, a type today appreciated for its simplicity and increasingly difficult to find in vintage productions, especially in service and dining pieces. The composition also includes pieces from the Laveno manufactory, an important Italian ceramics company historically linked to Società Ceramica Italiana and later brought into the orbit of the Richard Ginori group. A meaningful link in the history of national ceramic production, which makes this collection particularly interesting from a historical and collecting perspective. LOT COMPOSITION 12 plates (9 dinner plates + 3 soup plates) 2 large dinner plates 2 generous serving bowls 1 tureen with lid, complete with side handles and a shaped top grip Total 17 pieces, counting the tureen with lid as a single element. CHARACTERISTICS AND PARTICULARITIES The service stands out for the sobriety and elegance of its forms, the bright white of the surfaces, and the fine gilded decorations that highlight the profiles. Delicately wavy edges, balanced proportions, and finishes give the whole ensemble a refined character, representative of Italian taste in the first half of the 20th century. Particularly beautiful is the tureen, broad and low in shape, with two shaped side handles and a coordinated lid. A striking element, suitable also as a standalone decorative item or for a collection. The different items, although not necessarily belonging to a single original service, show a remarkable stylistic and chromatic affinity. The lot is offered in its original discovery composition, keeping all elements together as they were acquired. A choice that preserves its identity and enhances the spontaneous harmony between different productions, but perfectly combinable on the same table. ERA Vintage and antique production, with elements presumably attributable to the first half of the 20th century, roughly 1930s–1950s, subject to different datings for individual pieces. CONDITION OF CONSERVATION Overall good condition for its age and the age of the various elements, some of which may approach a century of life. The lot shows signs of time and use, including stains, surface marks, wear to the gilding, and some small imperfections. In particular, micro-chipping along the edges of about 3 or 4 plates is noted, as documented in the close-up photographs. The gilding shows wear and interruptions in some spots, while the surfaces display natural signs of prolonged use. The remaining items are generally in satisfactory condition, though bearing traces of their age. Overall, a collection that can be considered in good condition for its age, but with defects and signs of use clearly present and to be taken into consideration. The photographs are an integral part of the description and document the condition, including the noted imperfections. FINAL CONSIDERATIONS An interesting lot of Italian vintage ceramics that brings together Ginori and Laveno traditions, with pieces of particular charm for enthusiasts of historic porcelains, antiques, and vintage dining. The presence of numerous plates, two large platters, two bowls, and a beautiful tureen complete makes the set versatile, suitable for both use and collection and for styling tables with a classic taste. 17 pieces in total, offered as a single lot.
