HANAKO’S GARDEN Original contemporary artwork by Laura Capellini Technique: Acrylic on canvas Dimensions:98 × 70 cm Original and unique artwork, signed by the artist. Inspired by a Zen tale, "Hanako’s Garden" is part of a series exploring the symbolic connection between the vitality of a flourishing garden and the awakening of inner beauty. Entering Hanako’s garden means stepping into a dreamlike and evocative world, where nature seems to come alive through a harmonious interplay of vibrant colors, delicate nuances and unexpected forms. Symbolic shapes and almost magical apparitions emerge from the painted surface, inviting the viewer to discover new details and personal interpretations. The composition develops through layers of acrylic color applied with brushes, palette knives and sponges. Fluid passages alternate with more textured areas, creating depth, movement and subtle chromatic variations. The result is a lively, immersive surface in which color becomes both matter and emotion. The photographs were taken in natural light and have not been digitally altered. Slight variations in tone may therefore occur depending on the lighting and the screen on which the artwork is viewed. Some images show the artwork framed or in interior settings for presentation purposes; proportions may vary slightly. Please refer to the stated dimensions (98 × 70 cm) for the actual size. The artwork is signed on the back and is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity. SHIPPING: The canvas will be carefully shipped rolled in a sturdy protective tube with insured and trackable shipping. For large-format artworks, rolled shipping is a safer and more affordable option. The canvas can easily be stretched onto a frame by a local framer. Alongside her participation in exhibitions and art projects, she pursues a passionate and ongoing artistic research centred on "Nature", interpreted not simply as a subject, but as an emotional metaphor for the human experience. Her pictorial language explores transformation, vitality and the relationship between the natural world and our inner dimension. Through colour, matter and gesture, elements drawn from Nature become expressions of emotions, memories and states of mind. ARTIST’S STATEMENT I am a contemporary abstract artist living and working in Italy. I develop my work through distinct pictorial series and projects, connected by a common thread that continually draws on the natural dimension: elements, cycles, metamorphosis, inner gardens, and flowers as a metaphor for the female condition. All the works I present on Catawiki are unique, original and hand-painted. Their surfaces are dynamic and richly textured, revealing the movement, energy and spontaneity of each gesture. My technique is based on layers of acrylic colour, sometimes combined with oil. I combine this structured approach with a freer and more instinctive dimension, using fluid gestures, drippings, brushes and, above all, palette knives of different sizes. This allows me to move beyond rigid forms and leave space for spontaneity, chance and imperfection. It is precisely in this encounter between the study of colour, material experimentation and expressive freedom that my visual language comes to life.
