Sizes vary from 3.5 to 5.5 centimeters long. This lot brings together 6 natural Larimar pendants, each cut as a cabochon in free, organic shapes (points, triangles, teardrops), highlighting the veined patterns characteristic of this blue‑turquoise stone. Each piece is set in solid 925 sterling silver, with the hallmark visible on the bail. Total weight of the lot: 70.26 g. Larimar is reputed to be the stone of serenity and peaceful communication. Larimar is found in only one place in the world: the Barahona region in the Dominican Republic. Discovered in the 1970s after a resident spotted one washed up on a beach, it owes its name to the contraction of the discoverer’s daughter’s name, "Larissa", and the Spanish word "mar" (the sea), a perfect nod to its hues evoking Caribbean waters.
