Large Vivid Blue Kyanite with Lustrous Interlocking...

atural Formation - Lamellar and Prismatic Crystals — A specimen that commands attention for its size and beauty, this Blue Cyanite is a genuine geological monument from the fertile mineral lands of Brazil. Weighing over 3.2 kilograms and towering nearly 39 centimeters high, this piece is a natural sculpture of rare magnificence. Its slender, vertical form is accentuated by an elegant black metal revolving base, made to measure to transform contemplation into a dynamic and immersive experience. From a mineralogical point of view, the specimen is a superb manifestation of cyanite crystallization. Its structure is a dense, complex interweaving of lamellar and prismatic crystals that intersect in every direction, creating a tactile and visually captivating surface. The play of light on its surface, with a luster ranging from vitreous to pearly, is magnificent. Color is the true protagonist: an intense, vibrant blue, with hues ranging from deep sapphire blue to the lighter cerulean. This chromatic saturation, together with the complexity of its form, immediately draws the eye, making Cyanite a focal point in any environment, whether a professional studio, a contemporary living area, or a collector’s wonder room. Cyanite, whose alternate name “Disthene” derives from Greek and means “double strength” due to its variable hardness, is a highly sought-after mineral. Finding specimens of these monumental dimensions, with such a rich color and such aesthetically refined formation, is an exceptional event. This lot represents a unique opportunity to add to one’s collection a museum-quality piece, a powerful and spectacular fragment of Earth’s creative force.
