Large platinum earrings with approx. 7.50 ct old-cut diamonds, circa 1985

These vintage earrings are made to be seen. Crafted from platinum and set with a total of 7.50 ct of old-cut diamonds, they combine the best of two worlds: the romantic design language of the late Victorian era and the generous dimensions of the 1980s. Magnificent, diamond-set bows sit at the top, while slightly curved hearts swing below, also set close together with fine diamonds. Bows as a sign of connection and hearts as symbols of love have been recurring elements of romantic love gifts for centuries. However, while antique earrings of this type are generally much smaller and more delicate, this design is larger, bolder and shinier.
