Electricity wiring is renewed and in good working order. Art Nouveau Suspension Lamp, ca. 1910-1915 France The mildly frosted shade has all the characteristics typical of Art Nouveau. Frosted Opaque Glass with Swirl and Ruffled Edge positioned in a brass frame and equipped with a strain relief. Note that a somewhat similar type of suspension lamp is present at the house of Claude Monet in Giverny: in the bedroom of Monet’s stepdaughter, Blanche Hoschedé. Two pictures of this bedroom in Giverny are at the end of the set of pictures of this lot (just to give an impression). The light bulb is not included in this lot: it is to demonstrate that electricity wiring is in good working condition This standard type B22 bulbs are easily found for sale at (internet) stores.
