KTK – Kunst-Töpferei Kandern - Hermann Hakenjos - Dish - Modelnr

Ceramic bowl KTK Kunsttöpferei Kandern No. 775. Black slip painting on a yellow ground. Incised signature "KTK v. 775". KTK Kunsttöpferei Kandern around 1920. Height about 9.5 cm, Ø 25 cm, weight 1145 g. Good condition, used, small chips at the rim of the bowl, see photos The strictly geometric, minimalist longitudinal stripe decoration in black on a yellow ground bears the distinct handwriting of Hermann Hakenjos. While the underlying, classically turned bowl form still rests on the principles of the famous workshop founder Max Laeuger, this specific model was catalogued only in the KTK era (1915–1929) under number 775. Under Hakenjos’ leadership, the floral Jugendstil of Kandern evolved toward more sober, graphic patterns, heralding the budding Art Deco style.
