Kodak N° 2A Folding Autograph Brownie. c1915. Medium format camera

An extremely beautiful, more than 100-year-old Kodak N° 2A Folding Autograph Brownie medium format camera is offered. They were produced from 1915 to 1926. The camera uses N° A-116 roll film. It has a Kodex N° 1 shutter with speeds B, T, 1/25 and 1/50 sec, all of which work perfectly. The lens is a Kodar f7.9/122mm and is in very fine and undamaged condition. The tilting (used when horizontal shots are needed) pop-up viewfinder is still particularly clear. The leather strap is also in good condition for a camera over 100 years old. The bellows are in very good shape, with no tears or cracks. The sliding carriage on which the lens is mounted also comes out very smoothly from the camera body. On some cameras this can seize up very hard and be annoying, but this slide works very well. And “last but not least,” as you can see in the photos, the original metal writing pen is included as well. It was used to write small notes (to scratch) on the film negative so one knew how, what, and when the shot was taken. Very often this metal writing pen has been lost over the years. With this camera, the pen is included, which does add a small value. Dimensions are: 20 cm x 8.5 cm x 4 cm. The camera comes from my personal collection and has always been treated with care and certainly should not be missing in your display case or camera collection. The camera will be carefully and securely packed and shipped with a Track & Trace number and insurance. NOTA: I always ship my goods with a Track & Trace number and insurance, to prevent possible damage and theft. This shipping cost is more expensive but is mandatory for us (sellers) to use by Catawiki. I use Catawiki’s "Smart Shipping" tool. Catawiki introduced this a few years ago to obtain better shipping prices from the various carriers and mail-order companies. I therefore have no say in determining the shipping costs; everything happens automatically via Catawiki itself and I only receive a digital shipping label that I must print and affix to the package. I use a one-time expense allowance of €10, which is included in the shipping costs. Included are the time I spend packing, the packing box itself, the time I spend driving to and from the post office, and a contribution to fuel because my car doesn’t run on water.
