Proposed in the most classic, iconic and elegant finish in high-end black leather, the set embodies the perfect synthesis between artisanal craftsmanship and formal rigor. An icon of global design whose current official Knoll list price exceeds €12,000. Originally designed in 1929 to welcome the Spanish royalty during the Barcelona International Exposition in the German Pavilion, the Barcelona seat represents the manifesto of the famous motto “Less is more”: Line Architecture: The legendary hand-polished stainless steel scissor frame draws inspiration from the curule seat of ancient Rome, reinterpreted in a rationalist key with a continuous curve of exceptional formal purity. Tailored Upholstery: The seat and back cushions are made from individually cut and hand-stitched leather panels, featuring the characteristic tufted capitonnè button finish. Geometry and Ergonomics: The accompanying pouf completes the user experience, extending the visual line of the seating to offer unparalleled ergonomic comfort and a striking presence in any environment. The Barcelona set was produced in the early 2000s and is presented in excellent conservative condition, Black Leather: The leather preserves extraordinary softness, elasticity and a natural patina.
