Rarest and iconic freestanding ashtray 'Pedestal' original Mid-Century Modern and Space Age, designed by the famous architect Eero Saarinen for Knoll International (Pedestal Group collection). This specimen stands out for its exceptional condition, having been used as a display piece. The upper satin-brushed aluminum bowl is free of stains, burn marks, or smoke residue. The interior surface still shows the original factory machining lines. The famous white-lacquered aluminum cast tulip base is well preserved and retains its vintage luster. Under the heavy anti-tip base are clearly embossed in the casting the original series trademarks ('BR 50' / Knoll), partially covered by the protective paint layers of the era. The piece is complete with its original metal-mesh grid, a fundamental component. Conditions: Excellent vintage condition. Minimal and negligible signs of wear due to handling. Solid structure and the base lacquer is splendid. Photos are an integral part of the description.
