Erling Vangedal – Danish hunting knife model Senior with original leather sheath – vintage ca. 1968–1980 Nice vintage Danish Senior hunting and outdoor knife by Erling Vangedal, with a steel blade, wooden handle and accompanying leather sheath. The blade is clearly marked with “ERLING VANGEDAL – EV – DENMARK”, with the characteristic EV logo shown in a six-pointed star. The leather sheath also bears the engraved Erling Vangedal EV-mark, so both the knife and sheath are clearly marked as Vangedal products. Erling Vangedal was a Danish manufacturer and designer who, from the late 1960s, was involved in the production of fixed blades for hunting, fishing and outdoor activities. This piece can be dated to circa 1968–1980 based on the known production period of Vangedal. The knife has a total length of 23 cm, of which the steel blade measures 11 cm. The accompanying leather sheath is 25.5 cm long. The total weight is 160 g. The overall condition is nice vintage-used, with light age and use marks on the blade, the handle and the leather, appropriate for its age and original use. See the photos for a good impression of the condition and the markings present. An attractive and authentic piece of Danish vintage utilitarian design for the collector of Scandinavian knives, hunting accessories and Danish design.
