Knappogue Castle 12 Year Old Replacing the 40% version of the Knappogue Castle 12 Year Old Single Malt. This whiskey was the first Knappogue Castle to have an age statement. It was triple distilled in a Northern Irish distillery and has been matured in Bourbon casks for twelve years. Taste Nicely balanced on the palate with its rich viscosity being countered by fresh and light fruity characters. Flavours of lemon, fresh apples, candied fruits and delicate spices. Rich and spicy on the finish. Nose Aromas of vanilla, freshly baked bread, cooked apples and bread and butter pudding. Knappogue 12y Château Pichon Baron French Oak Cask Château Pichon Baron is part of the Cask Finish Series. After maturing for twelve years in bourbon barrels, the whisky was finished in casks from this renowned Bordeaux estate. These casks were crafted from French oak. Pichon Baron is the abbreviated name for Pichon Longueville Baron; it is a *Deuxième Grand Cru Classé* from the Pauillac appellation. The whisky is non-chill filtered and bottled at 46% ABV. Nose: fruity and soft, with aromas of strawberry and red berries. Palate: a juicy follow-through from the nose, featuring notes of berry fruit, red apples, strawberry, and spices.
