Kings Dragoon Guards, Officer’s Helmet. An excellent Victorian 1847 Albert pattern example with a gilt skull with straps and bands of acanthus, oak and laurels, the ornate standard pattern frontal plate with a Victorian crown surmounting a rococo shield bearing a silver or white metal star and central garter strap, with the regimental title 'King's Dragoon Guards' centred with a ‘VR’ cypher, with a gilded plume holder, base, and rosette side ornaments, a red velvet backed chin chain and its red horse hair plume, the interior with its full original red satin or silk two part crimped lining, with leather skiver lining to both peaks, excellent condition £1,600-£2,000.
