KING EDWARD VIII AUTOGRAPH NOTE, VISCOUNT ESHER

An antique autograph note signed by King Edward VIII (as a 8 year old) dated December 27th, 1902, written on York Cottage, Sandringham, Norfolk letterhead and addressed to Reginald Brett, 2nd Viscount Esher. The note reads 'Many thanks for kind present.' and is signed 'Edward.' Presented in a custom crimson mat with a period black-and-white portrait photograph of the king and the original franked envelope addressed in the royal hand to 'The Viscount Esher, Orchardlea, Winkfield, Windsor,' bearing a Sandringham postmark dated December 27, 1902. Signed, Edward. In a gilt-decorated gesso frame.Letter 6.5” x 4.5”Frame 18” x 16.5”.
