King & Country - World War II - D Day - '44 Americans...

King & Country DD109 “Medic & Wounded” ( Retired ) A tribute in miniature to the men who risked their lives to tend their wounded comrades often under fire. Here, a kneeling medic tries desperately to save a seriously wounded “Tommy”. KING & COUNTRY was founded in 1983 in Hong Kong by two Scottish expatriates, Andy C. Neilson and Laura McAllister Johnson. From a modest beginning, KING & COUNTRY has developed into one of the world’s largest designers and manufacturers of fully metal, hand-painted military and civilian miniatures on a 1:30 scale. In addition to their metal miniatures, the company has also produced an amazing and growing range of scale model buildings, combat vehicles, ships and airplanes crafted from a wide selection of wood, metal, polystone, resins and other mixed media. From their headquarters in Hong Kong they oversee every stage of design, development and production on the Chinese mainland. They also participate in fairs and collectors’ fairs in Europe, the U.S. and Australia. Their various World War II series include figurines, combat vehicles and buildings that stretch from the Normandy coasts of D. Day to the sands of North Africa and all points in between! A recent addition is "Operation Barbarossa", the German invasion of Russia in June 1941.
