Kerstplaten – 16 78-toeren

A special collection for lovers of Christmas music, vintage 78 rpm records. The combination of American, British, French and German-language recordings makes this collection especially varied. The oldest record in the lot dates from 1917, while the remaining items mainly originate from the years 1937 to 1949. This provides a nice view of the development and international spread of Christmas music in the first half of the 20th century. Condition: from Very Good Plus (VG+) to Near Mint (NM), with normal signs of use that are typical for records of this age. 1 ; Bing Crosby – Adeste Fideles / Silent Night, Holy Night Label: Brunswick – 02054 Released: 1946 2 ; Mills Brothers – On This Christmas Eve / My Christmas Song For You Label: Decca – 24768 Released: 1949 3 ; Jean Planel – Mon Beau Sapin / Voici Noël, O Douce Nuit Label: Pathé – PA 1248 Released: 1937 4 ; Kate Smith – Silent Night, Holy Night / Adeste Fideles (Oh, Come All Ye Faithful) Label: Columbia – 35791 Released: 1940 5 ; Frederick Hippmann – Stille Nacht, Heilige Nacht / O Du Fröhliche, O Du Selige Label: Odeon – O-26 251 Released: 1938 6 ; Bing Crosby - Christmas carols part 1 & 2 Label: Decca - 24670 7 ; Lo Helmut – Song To The Night / The Candles Burn On The Christmass Tree Label: Supraphon U – Ex C 19086 Released: 8 ; Orchestre Merton – Cloches De Noel Sainte Nuit / Cloches De Noel Heureuse Nuit Label: Beka - B6193 9 ; Nelson Eddy – Adeste Fideles / Silent Night Holy Night Label: Columbia Masterworks – C10044 Released: 1942 10 ; Charlie Kunz - White Christmas / The Christmas song / Santa Claus is comin' to town Label: London - F4034 11 ; Hermann Schey, Lotte Leonard – O Hehre Nacht / Stille Nacht, Heilige Nacht Label: Ultraphon – A 230 12 ; George Stehl – Christmas Bells / At Midnight Label: Columbia – 1740 Released: 1917 13 ; Ethel Smith – O Holy Night / It Came Upon The Midnight Clear Label: Decca – 24736 14 ; Kathleen Ferrier – Silent Night, Holy Night / O Come All Ye Faithful Label: Decca – M 32742 Released: 1948 15 ; Fred Waring and his Pennsylvanians - 'T'was the night before Christmas Part 1 & 2 Label; Decca - 23642 16 ; Bing Crosby - You're all i want for christmas / The first nowell Label; Decca - 24659 Released: 1941
