Kenner - Toy Vintage Strawberry Shortcake /...

An atmospheric vintage collection full of nostalgia – Strawberry Shortcake, Huckleberry Pie, Angel Cake, Lemon Meringue and more, combined with a beautiful vintage Barbie rattan furniture set A particularly charming and nostalgic collection of vintage Strawberry Shortcake dolls, in the Netherlands also known as strawberry dolls, offered together with an atmospheric vintage Barbie rattan furniture set and various accessories. A lot that immediately evokes the colorful and imaginative toy world of the late 70s. The Strawberry Shortcake dolls were released by Kenner, under license from American Greetings, from 1979. The series grew in the years that followed into a very extensive collection of figures, each with its own fruit or dessert theme, characteristic clothing and – very special – its own scent. In this lot there are several recognizable vintage figures from the Strawberry Shortcake world. Among others, based on appearance very likely recognizable: Strawberry Shortcake, with her distinctive red/auburn bob, freckles and red-and-white clothing; Huckleberry Pie, recognizable by his reddish-brown hair, purple sleeves, blue overalls and green-white striped details; Angel Cake, recognizable by her light/white hair and green dress; Lemon Meringue, recognizable by the characteristic yellow/curly hair; in addition several other Strawberry Shortcake/Kenner figures whose exact character identification is complicated because clothing and accessories in vintage items are frequently swapped between them. Vintage Barbie rattan furniture set A very attractive part of this lot is the vintage Barbie rattan furniture set. This consists of: a large rattan loveseat/two-seater; two matching rattan armchairs; a round braided rattan coffee table. The furniture is finished in natural brown/beige rattan and has the characteristic open weave structure and curved shapes that are so typical for vintage doll furniture from this period. The furniture gives the collection a particularly warm and decorative look. The combination of natural rattan with the colorful Strawberry Shortcake dolls is moreover especially atmospheric. In addition to the dolls and furniture there are also several smaller accessories, including a small rug, a pink/green Strawberry Shortcake-related vehicle and play accessory. A wonderful piece of toy history for the connoisseur of vintage Strawberry Shortcake, Kenner, American Greetings, strawberry dolls and classic Barbie doll furniture. Everything is packed with the utmost care and shipped safely with track & trace. No shipping outside the EU and the islands.
