Danish Modern Design: Kebe Møbler – "Eagle" Lounge Chair (1970s/1980s) Lounge Chair – Platstaal & Black Leather Description: A characteristic and rare Danish design icon: the "Eagle" Lounge Chair, produced by the renowned manufacturer Kebe Møbler in Denmark during the 1970s/1980s. The "Eagle" is known for its clean, architectural form and its striking, powerful silhouette. The name pays tribute to the design’s dynamic, slightly bent steel frame, reminiscent of the strong lines of an eagle at rest. Manufacturer & Design: Kebe Møbler (Denmark): Since its founding, the Danish brand Kebe has been known for its minimalist Scandinavian design combined with high-quality craftsmanship. Kebe fused innovative constructions with pure comfort, resulting in timeless furniture that collectors still love decades later. The Model "Eagle": This model is a textbook example of Mid-Century Modern and Space Age influences. The most striking element is the heavy, chrome-plated flat bar steel frame with stylishly visible, recessed side and rear screw connections. The subtle backward tilt and the floating runners provide surprisingly comfortable and active seating. With its sleek chrome frame and deep black upholstery, this armchair blends brutalist elements with elegant Danish minimalism. Thanks to its compact and airy profile, the chair visually takes up little space while still making a strong design statement. Interior styles: Perfectly suited to Mid-Century Modern, Brutalist, Industrial Chrome, Minimalist, or modern clean-lined interiors. Application: Ideal as a freestanding accent chair in the living room, study, library, or stylish office space.
