Tutte le aste / Altro / Jules-Albert Mignon (1875–1943) - Un coin de village - NO RESERVE
Jules-Albert Mignon (1875–1943) — Village Landscape An attractive work signed by the French painter Jules-Albert Mignon (1875–1943), depicting a tranquil view of a small rural nucleus, with houses of traditional architecture arranged on both sides of a road. The composition shows a scene of an intimate and serene character, built from a perspective that guides the gaze toward the interior of the village. The light façades, reddish roofs, and the presence of large masses of vegetation provide balance and depth to the scene, while the small figures appearing along the road introduce a discreet human presence. Mignon here develops a landscape painting linked to the French figurative tradition of the late 19th century and the first decades of the 20th century. The work stands out for a soft and luminous palette, dominated by greens, ochres, earthy tones, and light hues, as well as for a loose brushwork that synthesizes the forms without losing the recognizable character of the subject. The work is signed in the lower left area. In generally good condition for its age, with the usual signs deriving from the passage of time. The photographs form an integral part of the description and allow a detailed appreciation of its current state. From a private collection. The work is presented framed. The frame shows signs of use, wear, losses and other minor faults typical of its age. It is included solely as a gift and without added commercial value, so its condition will not be a basis for claims. The piece will be shipped with professional packaging, carefully protected with materials suitable for artworks to ensure maximum safety during transport. For shipments outside the European Union, the buyer should consider that any duties, import taxes, customs handling charges and other costs arising from the destination country’s laws will be the sole responsibility of the buyer. Likewise, customs procedures may cause delays compared to usual delivery times. An attractive example of early 20th-century French landscape painting, especially interesting for its rural atmosphere, its luminosity, and its serene character.
