Set of silver salt bowls in Victorian style, nicely 8-sided model standing on a pedestal foot, with the original blue glass liners. One silver salt spoon is included; it is original to the set. Both bearing all the English hallmarks: - Maker's mark J&C = Jones & Crompton (Edward Samuel Jones & Hubert Crompton) - Left-facing lion for English sterling silver - City mark of Birmingham - Date letter u for 1919 The salt spoon has the same marks, only with date letter t for 1918. Body diameter 5.5 cm. / rim and foot 4.5 cm. Width across the handles 8.4 cm. Height at rim 5.5 cm. / at handles 6.5 cm. Length of the salt spoon 5.5 cm. Silver weight 66 g. Total weight 126 g. The silver shows some signs of wear on both bowls. One has a few small dents on one side and the other has light openings/cracks at the corners, see photos... this is not obstructive and they can of course still be used. Otherwise they are in good condition, as is the spoon. Will be well and carefully packed. Registered/insured shipping. Fast shipping but pickup is also possible.
