COMBINED SHIPPING; If you purchase more works in the same Auction you pay a SINGLE shipping Single work 70 x 50 cm Signed on the front and back Authenticated on the back with Certificate Textured acrylic on heavyweight Fabriano-type paper (Murillo) Jo Novecento – Painter, Sculptor, Stylist, born in the Abruzzo region, Teramo, Italy in 1956 In the 1980s and 1990s he worked with the leading figures of the Roman School of San Lorenzo, which stood in opposition to Transavanguardia. He was constantly involved in fashion as well, producing models for tailored garments for important houses. In those years he also pursued music, playing at events organized with the band Le Stelle di Schifano. Existentialist artist, he studies and delves into the abstract expressionism of the first half of the 20th century; the support becomes a field of gestural, yet measured action, vital in the explosion of the broad palette. The compositions diverge from academic classics, non-figurative, allowing intimate enjoyment, not mediated. Ecstasy and tragedy are balanced.
