Jinks Kunst - BOB / Oeuvre spéciale rentrée 2026

Mixed media: multi-layer stencil and spray paint on a wooden school slate (18 x 26 cm) With BOB, Jinks Kunst continues his signature exploration of the reappropriation of everyday objects and pop-urban memory. The artist here works on a deeply nostalgic support: the classic school slate, framed by its raw wood and etched with its white grid. Far from merely a backdrop, the slate's strict geometry engages in direct dialogue with the roundness and fluidity of hip-hop culture. At the center of the composition, the character asserts himself with an attitude that is both stoic and confident. Hands stuffed in the pockets of his blue hoodie, steadfast gaze and a fluorescent green cap screwed onto his head, he seems to defy the rules of recess to impose his own universe. The intensity of the aerosol tones, notably the chromatic echo between the visor and the patch of bright grass on the ground, cuts through the mineral materiality of the slate. Despite the intimate format of the work, the precision of the stencil cut and the finesse of the shadow layering give the figure a striking depth. BOB embodies this poetic contrast dear to the artist: the meeting of the wisdom of old school materials and the indomitable freedom of street art. A unique piece, hand-signed directly on the wood of the frame. The artwork can be exhibited with the piece BEN in a diptych (see my other listings) Supplied with its certificate of authenticity.
