JEMDET NASR RED STONE STAMP SEAL IN THE FORM OF A LION'S HEAD

Ca. 3100 - 2900 BC. A red stone stamp seal carved in the form of a lion's head, with a rounded cranium, prominent muzzle and a recessed eye. A perforation passes through the upper part for suspension. The flat circular underside is engraved with three animals.
