Description: A fine paten, one side gilded and the other side with an engraved cartouche. In the cartouche the initials IHS with a cross are inscribed, the first three letters of the name Jesus in Greek capitals (ΙΗΣΟΥΣ). Below is a heart depicted, pierced by three arrows, as a symbol of the immense divine love and mercy of Christ for humanity and as a reference to the Passion. Made around 1820 by the Parisian silversmith Jean Charles Cahier.
