This is a fine vintage Japanese Arita (Imari) porcelain decorative plate from the Showa period, crafted by the workshop of the well-known ceramic artist Tominaga Chomei. The piece is decorated in classic Kakiemon style, featuring a traditional hand-painted Karako (Japanese children at play) scene. The painting is delicate and lively, with clean outlines and soft, elegant overglaze colours. The wide white glazed background represents the typical aesthetic of classical Japanese Kakiemon porcelain. The porcelain body is fine, solid and white, covered with a smooth, warm aged glaze with natural soft luster. The base bears an original underglaze blue cursive mark “Tominaga”, confirming the authentic workshop origin. Condition: Excellent vintage condition. No cracks, no hairlines, no chips, no repairs.
