Jamaica Early Letters and Handstamps 1787-1837 group of pre-stamp entires and entire letters sent via Packet ships (53) with a variety of handstamps, many with contents which have been transcribed by the collector and these accompany each letter, including 1795 entire to Scotland with faint strike of straight line 'iamaica', 1795 entire to Scotland with good strike of 'iamaica', 1795 entire to London sent via 'Roebuck packet' and with fair strikes of 'iamaica' and 'sav l/a mar', 1803 entire to Edinburgh sent via 'Duke of Kent' packet with weak strike of 'jamaica' large fleuron, 1811 entire sent via Princess Mary' packet with faint 'jamaica' large fleuron, etc. A good range, some with interesting contents, most with faint handstamps, however a fascinating and useful collection which is offered intact as it was sold by Robson Lowe in 1988 provenance: Robson Lowe Postal History Auction, May 1988 Subject to 20% VAT on Buyer’s Premium.
