Dimensions: 52 cm x 42 cm Frame included - with a thickness of 6 cm. An important work from the Light on Black series, embodying elegance, beauty, and minimalism. The composition is defined by refined tonal variations and sculptural reliefs, creating a hyper-realistic perception of light interacting with a textured surface. This hand-signed artwork from 1997 marks a pivotal moment in the artist’s career, representing his transition from graffiti to canvas. It stands as a powerful testimony of his early research, already oriented toward the exploration of light, material, and visual perception. The work can be displayed in multiple orientations, allowing for a flexible and dynamic presentation according to the collector’s space. The artwork is delivered ready to hang, already stretched and framed (wood). Shipping includes professional packaging, tracking number, and full insurance. Please note: images showing the artwork in interior settings are for illustrative purposes only. In some cases, proportions may appear slightly altered due to digital rendering or perspective adjustments. The actual dimensions are those stated above. Jacopo Mattia Alegiani has exhibited over the years in both public and private institutions, including the Venice Art Biennale, the Museum of the Imperial Forums in Rome, and major international art fairs such as Art Basel Miami. His works are held in galleries and museum collections. Active since the mid-1980s as one of the most prominent figures in the graffiti scene, under the pseudonym “The JA”, Alegiani developed a long and coherent artistic research path. His work evolves from urban interventions to large-scale canvases, ultimately focusing on the visual language of digital imagery. In the late 1990s, he experimented with unconventional materials, including plastic grids, to explore the structure of pixels and the symbolism of interconnected systems—bridging the physical and digital worlds. His practice investigates perception, light, and movement, positioning his work within a contemporary dialogue between material painting and digital aesthetics.
