Facsimile reproduction of the manuscript written and illuminated in England at the beginning of the 12th century in the St. Albans scriptorium. Probably commissioned by Geoffrey of Porham, abbot of St. Albans, for Christina of Markyate. The codex (containing 150 Latin psalms, the Life of St. Alexis, and a letter of Pope Gregory the Great). Inside 42 miniatures attributed to the Alexis Master complete the text consisting of 150 Latin psalms, the Life of St. Alexis, and a letter of Pope Gregory the Great. Leather binding with blind tooling on the boards and gilded clasps. Format 19×28 cm. Pages 418 (+1). Italian-language commentary (19×29 cm. pages 277). Leather case with gold impressions.
