Descriptio Oil on canvas. Dimensions: 73 × 96.5 cm; framed: 84 × 104 cm. A classically inspired landscape depicting a ship beached among rock formations, while several figures enliven the foreground. The composition unfolds through a succession of planes that guide the eye toward the background, combining coastline, natural architecture, and human presence within a scenographic conception characteristic of the idealized landscape of the 17th century. The treatment of light, the spatial breadth, and the integration of small figures within a monumental setting recall the models popularized by Claude Lorrain, without implying a direct attribution to the master. It retains its original gilt frame. Condition: generally good.
