The example offered at auction is from 1966, belonging to the first MKI series with the famous long gear lever, and has been restored in the past while maintaining the original configuration. It is equipped with its factory 848 cc engine and is presented in the characteristic Medio Green color, enriched by the chromes and details typical of the series. EXTERIOR The bodywork presents in the original Medio Green color, with a paint finish restored in the past by the previous owner and today in good overall condition with only minimal signs of use and time. The chromes are shiny and in good condition, as are the various original details of the car. A recent polishing and detailing treatment has been completed. The underbody is in solid overall condition and was restored a few years ago; it is road-legal. INTERIOR The interiors are in good overall condition and in original configuration, with rare details such as the dashboard, the steering wheel and distinctive features of the first series. A modification with hazard switch buttons was installed during the restoration. The door panels are in beautiful condition as is the dashboard and all rare details. The headliner is also in good overall condition and retains the original features. A sanitization treatment of the cabin has been recently completed. MECHANICS Mechanically, the car has its birth motor as per the engine code in the logbook, original 848 cc, well functioning: the clutch and gears work correctly, as do the brakes, and the technical inspection was passed in December 2024 with no defects found, valid until December 2026. The previous owner used the car normally and it is in good standing for road circulation and use, however a normal general service check before regular use is always recommended, especially for long distances. This 1966 Innocenti 850 MKI, first series, represents a particularly interesting example for its original configuration and Italian history. The original delivery in Italy, the Bologna black plates, the factory original engine and Medio Green typical color make this beautiful Mini a rare car.
