Tutte le aste / Altro / Ingrid Glashütte - Kurt Wokan - Vase (3) - Frozen glass

Dear Bidders, Thank you for your interest in my offer. You are bidding here on a striking set of three vintage German art glass vases designed by Kurt Wokan for Ingrid Glashütte and produced in West Germany during the 1970s. Made of thick, heavily textured bark or ice glass, the vases feature sculptural organic forms and vivid shades of cobalt blue, turquoise and green. Their bold appearance is characteristic of 1970s Mid-Century Modern and Brutalist design. A highly decorative set that would complement a collection of German, Scandinavian or Murano art glass. SOME GENERAL INFORMATIONS: Ingrid Glashütte, also known as Ingrid Glas, was a German glassworks active from the 1960s until around 1979. The factory, based in Germany near the Austrian border, produced a wide variety of glass objects—including textured, sculptural vases now treasured as mid-century modern classics. One of their signature styles was the bark or ice texture—a deeply sculpted surface that resembles natural tree bark or frozen ice, lending each piece a rugged yet organic aesthetic. Many of these distinctive vases are designed by Kurt Wokan, credited for his creative work with Ingrid Glashütte during the 1970s and into the early 1980s SOME ADDITIONAL INFORMATIONS: * Brand: Ingrid Glashütte by Kurt Wokan * Made in Germany around 1970-80 * Material: frozen glass reminding a glacier / tree bark ( very similar to Peill & Putzler vase from Alaska series ) * Measurements ca.: 2 x 22,5x8x5 cm; 1 x 19x8 cm * Please watch carefully all the pictures, they are also a part of description ( each one can be enlarged ) * I would like to point out that the items I am selling are several decades old and therefore show general signs of use and age, such as minor scratches, scuffs, discoloration, dust, patina, chips, dents etc. - Any major damage -s is / are ALWAYS shown in the photos - * Please remember about Catawiki’s rules and make a payment maximally within 3 days after auction end The set will be properly prepared for the shipping ( mainly recycled materials ) and sent insured ( up to 500€ ).
