Ḥusayn Tūrī, - Raml- ʿIlm al-Jafr — dated 1303 AH - 1907

Persian–Arabic Manuscript on Raml and the Secrets of ʿIlm al-Jafr — dated 1325AH An interesting handwritten manuscript devoted to the occult sciences of ʿilm al-raml (geomancy) and ʿilm al-jafr, copied in both Persian and Arabic. The manuscript contains two treatises: 1. Asrār-i ʿIlm-i Jafr (The Secrets of the Science of Jafr) 2. Kāshif al-Rumūz (The Revealer of Symbols/Secrets) The texts discuss geomantic calculations, talismanic practices, numerical correspondences, symbols, and the relationship between numbers and the science of raml. The manuscript is richly illustrated with numerous hand-drawn tables, numerical diagrams, geomantic figures, and talismanic arrangements. According to the colophon on the final page, the manuscript was copied in 1303 AH (1885–1886 CE) from an older exemplar. The copyist identifies himself as Ḥusayn Tūrī, apparently a practitioner of raml and the occult sciences.
